Diamond Suspension

PSI Diamond Suspensions are a new water based diamond product developed for the Materials Laboratory. Unlike traditional diamond slurries, which were a simple mixture of diamond particles and liquid, the diamond particles in PSI Permanent Diamond Suspension will not settle out to the bottom of the bottle. The diamond particles are held in permanent suspension by a binding agent. This means no vigorous shaking is required during use. The permanently suspended diamond particles insure the same diamond concentration from the beginning of the bottle to the last drop.

Diamond Suspension from PSI is packaged in plastic pint bottles to prevent breakage. Each of the available micron grades is color coded to ensure accurate usage. The GE 300 Series diamond particles are carefully graded to the appropriate particle size range to meet the most exacting standards. In each pint bottle of PSI diamond suspension are 12.5 carats of diamond particles, 25% more than some competitive products.

PSI Diamond Suspensions are well suited for use with the newer automated polishing systems and manual applications. The PSI standard product will meet almost all of the requirements of the materials lab. Because PSI works very closely with our manufacturer, custom products can be supplied upon request. If your requirement demands a higher concentration of diamond particles or a modification in any other variable, let us know. We can meet many special requirements. Diamond Compound

PSI Diamond Compound is the traditional diamond product used in sample polishing operations. In this product, carefully graded diamond particles of the required micron grade are blended with a carrier "paste" to insure uniform diamond particle concentration. The standard product supplied is universally soluble in water or oil solvents. A product only soluble in oil can be supplied upon request.

Supplied in convenient plastic syringes, PSI Diamond Compound can be dispensed easily and accurately to the polishing cloth. The large syringe contains 18 grams of diamond compound, while the smaller size contains 5 grams. Both a standard concentration and a heavy concentration is available from PSI. Color coded to insure correct usage, actual diamond particle size for each grade conforms to a bell curve distribution between the maximum and minimum particle grade.
